The Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily operation and clinical supervision of the staff in the Department of Nursing. The Ambulatory Care Services Pharmacy Specialist provides pharmaceutical care services using approved protocols in collaboration with other health professionals. This includes managing drug therapy, providing patient education, and preparing and/or overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications. The Ambulatory Care Pharmacist promotes high quality, evidence based, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The Specialist is also responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the Pharmacy staff to provide pharmaceutical services in assigned areas. Responsibilities include scheduling; staffing; training; recruitment; retention, discipline and staff satisfaction; safe and cost-effective use of medications.
Under the direction of the Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and the Director of Nursing, the emergency department (ED) nurses utilize evidenced- based knowledge and the nursing process to provide patient-centered care to individuals with life threatening illnesses/trauma.
Diagnose and treat problem with a patient’s teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. Provide advice and instruction on taking care of teeth and gums and on diet choices that affect oral health.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a mid-level health care provider, who works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team and is responsible for providing direct comprehensive care to patients and supervision of ancillary staff. The NP educates the patient, family/significant other by promoting wellness, preventing health care problems, maintaining current health status, and intervening in acute or chronic illness. In collaboration with an attending endocrinologist, is responsible for the coordination and direct care of patients within the specialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the outpatient setting.
Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the LPN performs nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients on an assigned unit. The duties require the use of tact and judgment in the care and treatment of patients. May assist in the supervision of non-professional subordinates. Is cognizant of philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Nursing Department. Performs related duties as required.
