The position provides support at the Enterprise level for our Learning Management System to drive learning innovations through system-wide initiatives and be a member of the Training and Organizational Development team assisting with Quality and Compliance and documentation of educational activities conducted in the assigned department or function.   

• Focus on maximizing the One Brooklyn Health LMS and integrating instructional third-party tools.
• Perform tests and pilots of viable technologies and assist with crafting documentation to move from plan/build to run and complete integration in production once approved by HR (Human Resources), ITS and Compliance.
• Ensure that training rosters are up to date and individual courses are assigned accordingly.
• Generate reports and communicate to department heads to ensure compliance with required training
• Assess training needs, schedule events, and facilitate training sessions and workshops.
• Create or purchase training materials, research and assemble resource materials, and provide information to trainees.
• Prepare roster of trainees, notify participants of training schedule.
• Complete special project assignments related to training and development relevant to the assigned department.
• Partner with subject matter experts needed for training sessions.
• Answer training participant questions during training or follow-up with others to gather information and respond at later date.
• Implement innovative programs/initiatives and modify existing programs with the goal to improve service excellence, process improvement, adoption of technology as well as to develop workforce and management skill levels.
• Collaborate with other trainers throughout the system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in instructional media or related field, or 5 years related experience.

License, Certifications:

• Training certification from the American Society for Training and
• Development a plus; Depending on subject, other certifications may be required. 

Experience: 

• Minimum five (5) years of experience working with a Learning Management System and instructional technologies.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong organizational and Project management skills, ability to set priorities, lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to build a good rapport across all levels within the organization
• Knowledge and experience with: HealthStream, Captivate, or other E-Learning design platform

• Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and use of a computer and screen viewing throughout the working day.
